Sylvia B. West was chosen as Teacher Assistant of the
Year by her peers at Everetts Elementary School. She has been employed with the Halifax County School
System for 14 years. West currently works as our A+ Computer Lab Manager.West attended the Halifax Community College. She is married to Moses West Jr. and they have two sons, Jamal and Marcus. She is the daughter of Beatrice Burnette and the late Willie L. Burnette Sr. West is an active member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and enjoys shopping, singing, traveling, outback barbecues, and of course working with computers and her students. Sylvia has also been selected Halifax County Teacher Assistant of the Year! ...thanks for all you do! |
